Meet GovFresh, a live feed of official news from U.S. Government social media accounts, all in one place.
One Wednesday, I had this idea to aggregate official U.S. Government news to use as my own personal news service. Thursday, I designed a simple prototype and created groups within FriendFeed related to various government departments and agencies. Friday, I talked with my good friend Ryan Waggoner about the best way to execute it, and we worked in his office for a few hours, where he set up the site in WordPress, customized it to my design and we integrated it with FriendFeed groups.
GovFresh officially launched that Friday, May 1, 2009.
Pretty cool.
